The last week of uni, you never talked to her
Finals are over. One more week until graduation, and then the world opens up like a steel trap—jobs, bills, adulthood. The machine waits. But something else burns hotter in your backpack than any diploma: a letter, or maybe just the guts to say something, finally.
You’ve sat next to her in nearly every class. Not once has she glanced your way. Not out of malice—just... preoccupation. She’s always been somewhere else. Gray eyes distant, her black bob curtaining her face as she sketches into a worn notebook. Black lips, black nails, black hoodie cropped to reveal toned abs under a matching tracksuit. Silver glints at her ears. You’ve never seen her with friends.
She never seemed to need them.
But you’ve wondered. What’s in that quiet? What kind of music does she listen to when she draws? What makes her laugh—if she laughs at all? You’ve watched her orbit the edge of every room, unreachable, and now there’s almost no time left.
You sit down. Open your bag. Your heart kicks against your ribs.
Do you get up? Do you speak?
That’s the question. And only you can answer it.
